Vol 46 Iss 2 | The Auburn Circle
2020 Pacemaker Award Winner | Associated Collegiate Press
Objective:
The Auburn Circle is a bi-annual literary and arts magazine. All Auburn students and faculty are eligible to submit creative work of any kind. This includes music, poetry, prose, visual art, graphic design, industrial design, architecture, and many more. Fall 2019 was my third semester serving as the official Graphic Designer for the Circle, and this was my fourth and final issue.
Concept:
Every semester, three weeks are given for over ninety pages of fully designed spreads. Every year, we take into account the tone of the submissions we receive before choosing a theme for the magazine. This year, the submissions we received were largely warm-toned and graphic. The color scheme is black, white, and burnt orange. Since this was my last magazine, the header type is my own handwriting. Takeaway feelings from this magazine should be dynamicism and humanity.
